Make sure that if you use fireworks this summer, to stay safe.

This time of year, as celebrations begin the danger from fireworks becomes clear. Every year there are both injuries to persons from fireworks and property damage. When your family and friends plan how to celebrate Independence Day make sure that you follow the following Firework Safety Tips; 

1. Always have an adult supervise fireworks activities, especially with sparklers.
2. Back up to a safe distance immediately after lighting fireworks.
3. Never point or throw fireworks at another person.
4. Keep a bucket of water or a garden hose handy in case of fire and to douse used fireworks before discarding in trash.
5. Never allow young children to play or ignite fireworks.
6. Never try to re-light or pick up fireworks that have not ignited fully.
